Brain Morphology and Function Report

Basic Information
Name Internal capsule
Brain Morphology The internal capsule is an area of white matter in the brain that separates the caudate nucleus and the thalamus from the lenticular nucleus. The internal capsule contains both ascending and descending axons. It consists of axonal fibres that run between the cerebral cortex and the pyramids of the medulla.

internal capsule Zou, 2008 patients and normal controls We found a significant decrease in fractional anisotropy (FA...... We found a significant decrease in fractional anisotropy (FA) in the left hemisphere, including the anterior limb of the internal capsule and the inferior parietal portion of the superior longitudinal fasciculus, in patients with MDD compared with healthy controls. Diffusion tensor imaging measures in the left anterior limb of the internal capsule were negatively related to the severity of depressive symptoms. More...
internal capsule Zhu, 2011 patients and normal controls Compared with healthy controls, patients with MDD showed dec...... Compared with healthy controls, patients with MDD showed decreased fractional anisotropy (FA) values in three WM tracts: the left anterior limb of the internal capsule, the right parahippocampal gyrus, and the left posterior cingulate cortex. 2. User can drag the nodes to rearrange the layout of the network. Click the node will enter the report page of the node. Right-click will show also the menus to link to the report page of the node and remove the node and related edges. Hover the node will show the level of the node and hover the edge will show the evidence/description of the edge.
3. The network is generated using Cytoscape Web Cytoscape Web
