The baroreflex or baroreceptor reflex is one of the body's homeostatic mechanisms for maintaining blood pressure. It provides a negative feedback loop in which an elevated blood pressure reflexively causes heart rate and, thus, blood pressure to decrease; in similar fashion, decreased blood pressure activates the baroreflex, causing heart rate and, thus, blood pressure to rise.

Depressed patients had lower baroreflex sensitivity related to a higher gain of the afferent component of the baroreflex without respective gain adjustment of its efferent component (reflex gain 'de-afferentation').More...

patients showed an overall shift of autonomic balance toward sympathetic predominance as compared with matched controls, with a decrease in parasympathetic parameters and baroreflex sensitivity,More...

2. User can drag the nodes to rearrange the layout of the network. Click the node will enter the report page of the node.
Right-click will show also the menus to link to the report page of the node and remove the node and related edges.
Hover the node will show the level of the node and hover the edge will show the evidence/description of the edge.
3. The network is generated using Cytoscape Web
